At Kapiʻolani Community College

Kapiʻolani Community College’s new strategic plan has three alahele (directions) to guide the college for the next six years. Each direction strengthens the mission and vision of the college to support its students, community, and Hawaiʻi.

Identifying the alahele, and creating a thriving environment for Kapiʻolani Community College employees and students emerged as priorities. This alahele highlights the importance of healthy work and school environments to ensure a thriving, vibrant, and sustainable community.

The Thriving and Sustainable Campus Culture alahele generated planning by a Community Engagement Work Group and birthing the new Kū Pūnāwai Series to prioritize your health and wellness. The Kū Pūnāwai classes will be offered through Continuing Education, and are designed to align your body, mind and spirit. Tuition will be waived for select classes, while others will be subsidized.
