Federal guidelines (MQSA) for initial mammography training require qualified technologists to complete at least 40 contact hours of documented training specific to mammography under the supervision of a qualified instructor. The course below provides comprehensive knowledge specific to the specialty of mammography and fulfills Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requirement 1.

Prerequisite

Radiologic technologists registered with the ARRT in radiography wishing to pursue mammography training; at minimum, must be a concurrently enrolled student in an accredited Radiologic Technology program in their 2nd year of training. Mammography students need to be current Radiologic Technologists or current students in Rad Tech.
